Film Synopsis
“Seeing Site Sounds” (2023-2024) is a stop-motion film that travels through an urban
soundscape. Stemming from research of non-objective Filmworks of the early to mid-20 th
century, the work explores the audio-visual phenomena between abstraction and the
representational. The animation follows the optical dance of architectural shapes and
shifting bodies in space, transformed by the urban soundscape. A world of sounds is
revealed as it reverberates through shifting notions of space and sites.
