Learn how to use the world\’s leading stop-motion capture software (Dragonframe) while practicing the basics of stop-motion character animation. Multiple animation stations will be setup- each with a camera, computer, stage, and a puppet waiting to be brought to life… by you! Participants will be guided through the software as they learn tricks-of-the-trade from a professional animator to create smooth, dynamic puppet animation. By the end of the day, participants will take home a video of their animation, and a firm understanding of the software they used in the process.

Instructor Evan DeRushie is a professional stop-motion animator. He has animated for broadcast TV series, commercials, and short films (http://vimeo.com/41787486). Most recently he animated on the unreleased feature film \’The Little Prince\’ (http://youtu.be/x-zgPM-QPaI) under the creative direction of Jamie Caliri, creator of Dragonframe software.
