About the Film
A feverish stasis collapses into an infinite distraction, spinning on the axis of an algorithm. Each pulse, a soundtrack’s uncertain tone, breathing electricity into a half-alive world. Time stretches like soft polymer; metamorphoses creep forward frame by frame, suspiciously slow, as if the film were watching me back.
Photographic fragments are glued to clay—not as sculpture, not as collage, but as something in between, a tonomorp, unless some film theorist has a better term.
Characters hatch in mid-gesture, faces unsealed but never whole, lost inside the patterns of their own skin. They hesitate, stuck in an action bog of their own making or, perhaps, mine?
Soundtrack by electroacoustic and musique concrète composer Andrew Zukerman, working under his Fleshtone Aura moniker, from Arbitrary Works Volume III.
