Constant Yen
Constant Yen is a Toronto-based artist & animator who likes to draw and make things with their hands. Their practice involves creating spontaneous and playful experimental work. Constant’s straight-ahead approach combines analog and digital mediums to create various textures across their moving-image works to achieve a raw, chaotic, and nostalgic appeal.

Description of the work
Through this digital artist residency, I have been experimenting and developing new digital skills in sound and video with the aim to complete a 4 minute short film. Combining various techniques–mostly 2D animation and claymation collaged with live action footage I shot on the subway, I seek to create a familiar and evocative look through a passenger car window. A daydream in transit.
