Sign ups are now open for this year’s Anijam!

Each year, the TAIS Anijam features 10 second long animated films submitted under a theme and screened at the annual TAIS Animation Showcase. This year’s Anijam theme is Small Crush!

qualification and process

• Artists must reside in Canada to participate.
• If TAIS receives more than 20 sign-ups, the artists will be entered into a lottery and 20 names will be randomly drawn for the chance to compete.
• The selected artists will then have three months to complete their 10 second animations.
• All the submissions will be screened at this year’s TAIS Showcase and will be competing for the title of Best Anijam.
• Everyone whose Anijam is screened at Showcase will receive an Artist Fee.

The Showcase Jury’s pick for Best Anijam will be awarded The Madi Piller Award, which includes a cash prize and in-kind studio use toward production of a short animated project for presentation at TAIS Showcase in 2026.
