About this Workshop

Are you a total beginner to After Effects?

Are you interested in taking our more intermediate After Effects-based workshops, but don’t feel confident enough with the software?

We’ve got you covered!

This workshop is a general introduction to Adobe AfterEffects.
Participants at any level will learn AfterEffects (AE) as both a powerful animation and a post-production tool for any moving footage, whether 2D, stop-motion, or video. Our hands-on session will familiarize participants with the general structure and workflow of the program, understanding compositions, layers, frame rates, keyframing, effects, sound, and outputting. We will explore more details of animation, rigging, time-remapping, keying, and 3D as time and interest allow. Participants may bring footage material to experiment with, but it’s not required. Let’s have fun with AfterEffects!

MATERIALS STUDENTS WILL NEED

– Laptop with Adobe After Effects

  • (TAIS has a limited number of MacBook Pros and After Effects that we can lend to participants on a first-come first-serve basis – email tais.studio@gmail.com if you’d like to reserve one!)
