Workshop Description

Master rotoscoping technique for music videos as Iveta guides you through the entire animation production process. From filming and choosing the right footage in pre-production to importing, understanding frame rates and editing in Adobe Photoshop Timeline. You will practice hand-drawn techniques for creative Frame-by-frame transitions synchronizing music and visuals, and adding opening titles and end credits.  Finally, you will learn how to export, SEO tag and upload your video on social, media outlets for self-marketing purposes.

 

Instructor 

Iveta Karpathyova, B.Des., M.Des., is an animator and illustrator based in San Francisco, California. She is an instructor at UC Berkeley Extension where she created the course on Animation Design & Video Production. Iveta’s upcoming rotoscoping workshops are being taught at Google (Nov ’19), Skillshare (Dec ’19) and TAIS (Jan 20). Her award-winning rotoscope animations in films Phases of Dance (2017) and Prey (2019) screened at festivals including Hot Docs and International Festival of Animated Dance. She has created animated and illustrated content for clients including ESPN, L’Orèal, Variety Magazine, and Entertainment Weekly.
