This workshop explores Rotoscoping, an animation technique involving tracing frame-by-frame from recorded film or video. Video samples and 16mm celluloid film will be provided, or participants can bring footage they’ve shot, to use for tracing. Pacing and framing will be explored, as well as software options for use with digital drawing equipment. Limited TAIS tablets are available (first-come first-serve). Participants also receive 2 days of access to TAIS studios following the workshop to complete their rotoscoping project.
