This 4 hour workshop will demonstrate puppet animation fundamentals, and is a great “How To” intro for anyone new to stop motion animation. Participants will learn how to create and control motion using the equipment available at TAIS studio (a mixture of consumer-level products and DIY rigs and other techniques). Materials provided.
The workshop instructor, Philip Eddolls, is known for his work on The Little Prince (2015), Glenn Martin DDS (2009) and Soldier’s Girl (2003). He is a stop motion Director who has made commercials with Resistor Art and Design in Toronto, and directed an animation for Weird Al through ACME Film Works in LA. He has directed at the National Film Board in Montreal, and has worked as an Animator at Cuppa Coffee Studios.
