This 8 week course will cover the nuts’n bolts, hands-on how-to’s of stop motion puppet building and design. The course will provide in-depth instruction on DIY low-cost fabrication techniques, as well as how to design your puppet with the character’s desired characteristics in-mind. Participants can expect to create a complete positionable puppet using latex, wire armature, and fabric over the course of the 8 weeks. Materials provided.

Stephanie has worked as a motion graphics designer, director, and art director since graduating from OCAD’s Drawing and Painting program in 1997. Her work has won numerous PromaxBDA (and other) awards over the last two decades. Her first short film has appeared at over 50 festivals around the world, including TIFF, Annecy Animation Festival, and Zebra Poetry Film Festival in Berlin. In 2017 she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award, for her work on CBC’s X Company Animated.
