TAIS supported projects are heavily featured at this year’s Ottawa International Animation Festival

Banana Bread

A 360º 2D animation experience featured as part of the Animation Expose VR Zone – Sept 29 from 9am-5pm and at NightOwl: An Interactive Party – Sept 29th from 9pm-2am

Banana Bread invites you to hang out at a chill yet surreal garden party. Get comfortable, lounge by the pool, and observe your quirky companions. It’s a sweet time, complete with hot BBQ. Commissioned by TAIS for the 2018 Artist in Residence program.


Death Van

Featured in the Canadian Panorama programme – Sept 27th and 28th

A one-eyed hand and a toy drummer who answers to the name of Zeitlieb are the fictitious band Death Van. The space-rock duo tours through a miniature world inhabited by surreal creatures that are haunted and terrorized by a menacing and mischievous entity. Commissioned by TAIS for the 2016 Artist in Residence program.

Reach the Sky

On the open road, three queer friends in three cars are separated by an unexpected fork in the road. From the surprise journey, the friends encounter a butch mermaid, Frida Kahlo, a fabulous companion, and a sense of queer pride. A short with heart, fantasy, and a whole lot of yarn.
